3. Connecting the supplied speakers
Dolby* Pro Logic Surround sound requires 5 speakers:
•
Centre speaker (incorporated in the TV set) to anchor the stable sound image such as dialogues to the TV screen.
•
Left and right front speakers (incorporated in the TV set) for the normal two channels or stereo broadcasts.
•
Surround speakers (supplied) for the special effects created by the surround channel.

Connecting your own speakers
If you wish to connect your own speakers to the TV, please ensure that the speakers used have at least 8 ohms impedance and are
magnetically shielded. Speakers that do not meet these guidelines could produce some picture distortion when used. Connect your
own centre speaker to the ‘C’ terminals of the sockets on the rear of the TV. Connect your own left and right speakers to the
‘L/G/S/I’ and ‘R/D/D/D’ terminals of the sockets on the rear of the TV.

Step 3:Positioning the speakers for optimum sound
Position the speakers as shown.
It is recommended that you place the speakers one metre
above your listening position to obtain the best sound
effects.
Step 2:Connecting the speakers to the TV
Connect the two surround speakers to the ‘S’ terminals of
the sockets on the rear of the TV, as shown.
Step 1:Connecting the speaker leads to the speakers
1. Connect the black and white striped lead to the red

) terminal, as shown.
2. Connect the all black lead to the black ( ) terminal.
3. Repeat this procedure for the second speaker.
