3-4. G2 (SCREEN) AND WHITE BALANCE
ADJUSTMENTS
1. G2 (SCREEN) ADJUSTMENT (RV701)
1) Set the PICTURE and BRIGHTNESS to normal.
2) Put to VIDEO input mode without signals.
3) Set to Service Mode.
4) Change BLU data of the item number 8E from 01 to 00 .
(To turn off Blue Back.)
5) Press MUTING , and

0 to write the data in the memory.
6) Connect R, G, and B of the C board cathode to the oscillo-
scope.
7) Adjust G2 (RV702) volume to the value below.
8) Re-set BLU data of the item number 8E from 00 back to
01 .
9) Press MUTING , and

to write the data in the memory.
2. WHITE BALANCE ADJUSTMENTS
1) Set to service Mode.
2) Input white raster signal.
3) Set the PICTURE to minimum.
4) Select SBR(39) with

, and then set the level to
minimum with

5) Select GCF(3D) and BCF(3E) with
1
and
4
. And adjust
the level with

and
6
for the best white balance.
6) Set the PICTURE to maximum.
7) Select GDR(3B) and BDR (3C) with

the level with

for the best white balance.
8) Write into the memory by pressing MUTING then

3. SUB BRIGHT ADJUSTMENT
1) Set to service mode.
2) Input a staircase signal of black and white from the pattern
generator.
3) BRIGHTNESS .... RESET.
