SET-UP ADJUSTMENTS

The following abjustments should be made when
a complete realignment is required or a new
picture tube is installed.
l
These abjustments should be performed with rated
power supply voltage unless otherwise noted.
Controls and switch should be set as follows unless
otherwise noted :

Perform the adjustments in order as follows :

2. Convergence

Focus

Preparation.

Feed in the white pattern.
Before starting, degauss the entire screen.
Loosen deflection yoke screw.
Adjust purity control as shown in
Slide deflection yoke as far forward as it will go.
Turn the raster signal of the pattern generator to
red.
Adjust purity control to center vertical red band
as shown in
Slide deflection yoke back for a uniform red screen.
Check green and blue rasters for uniformity by
performing the same way as steps 4, 5 and 6.
Tighten the deflection yoke screw.
Check if mislanding appears at corners a-d as
shown in Fig. 3-3. If mislandig is observed, correct
it as shown in Fig. 3-3.
Confirm that beam landing is correct when the
receiver is faced in all directions.
