When connecting to your TV via a VCR
Select the connecting method with [VIDEO OUT] (p. 74) depending on the input jack of the
VCR. Connect your camcorder to the LINE IN input on the VCR. Set the input selector on the
VCR to LINE (VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2, etc.).

Notes
• Images are output in standard definition image quality (SD) when the A/V connecting cable is used.
• When the frame rate of [REC FORMAT] is 24p or 30p, images are converted to the interlace signals by
the pull-down system to be output.

Tips
• The resolution of the signal depends on the [VIDEO OUT] setting. See page 74 for details.
• If you connect your camcorder to the TV using more than one type of cable to output images, the order of
priority of the TV input jacks is as follows:

• HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is an interface to send both video/audio signals. The
HDMI OUT jack outputs high quality images and digital audio.
