Up
Connecting the Stereo
Use the illustrations below to connect your
stereo.
If you want to connect any optional
components to the stereo, see “Connecting
Optional Equipment” in Chapter 7.
STEP 1
Connecting the
Speakers

Twist the speaker cable coating and
strip it from the end of the cable.

Connect the right speaker to R
connectors and the left speaker to L
connectors.
See the manual supplied with the
speaker for details of the connections.
To improve the AM reception
After you connect the AM aerial, connect a
6- to 15- meter (20- to 50- feet) insulated
wire to the AM terminal. Connect the
terminal to ground.
Important
Ground the external aerial from terminal
against lightning with the screw clamp. To
prevent a gas explosion, do not connect the
ground wire to a gas pipe.

Connect an outdoor FM aerial to the FM

terminal, using a 75-ohm coaxial cable.

Connecting the
Turntable (for the model
supplied with the
turntable only)
Connect the supplied turntable PS-LX56P to
the PHONO IN jacks and the POWER
SOURCE terminal.
