Optional components
There is no sound.
Refer to General item “There is no
sound.” (page 109) and check the
condition of the system.
Connect the component properly (page
103) while checking:
if the cords are connected properly.
if the cord plugs are firmly inserted
all the way.
Turn on the connected component.
Refer to the operating instructions
supplied with the connected
component and start playing.
If the system still does not operate
properly after performing the
above measures or other troubles
not described above occur, reset the
system as follows:
Use buttons on the unit to reset the
system to its factory default settings.

Unplug the power cord.

Plug the power cord back in.

Press
to turn on the system.

While holding down DISPLAY
,
touch
and press
at the
same time.
“COLD RESET” appears in the display.
The system is reset to the factory
settings except for DVD settings. You
should set the settings you made, such
as the preset stations, clock and timer.
To return the DVD setup to the default
settings*, perform reset as follows:

Press DISPLAY
when playback
is stopped.
The Control Menu appears on the TV
screen.

(SETUP), then press ENTER

“RESET,” then press ENTER
