Installation Procedure
1. Insert a new HDD unit into the slot gently, and press
the levers in the direction of the arrows to lock the
HDD unit.
2. Attach the HDD No. label which has same number as
removed HDD to the front of the new HDD unit.
. HDD No. label : 3-605-401-01
3. Attach the HDD identification label.
4. Install the front panel (lower). (Refer to Section 2-2-1
of the MAV-70 Maintenance Manual Volume1.)
5. Turn on the power switch.

How to Execute Logical Formatting of HDD by the
MAV-70 itself
Keys to be used for menu operations
Use the following five keys located to the LCD display.
The key(s) for use in the next operation will light.
Basic layout of the displays

Function menu block
Lists displays and functions that can be selected in a menu
format.
Up to 4 items can be displayed at a time. If the menu
contains more than 5 items, you can scroll the display with
the
0
key.
<Operation>

Place the function cursor ( > ) at the desired item by
moving it up or down with the

key.
2. Press the
[ENTER]
key for an item to select a
display. The corresponding display appears.
For an item for mode/parameter setting, select the
desired mode or value with the

key.

When you press the
[ENTER]
key for some items, a
“Caution” display may appear, showing a message to
confirm your selection and “Cancel” and “Execute” in the
function menu.
To continue, place the function cursor (
> ) at “Execute” and
press the
[ENTER]
key again.
