Preparations
MAV-555 Setup
In order to use the functions provided by the board, the MAV-555 must be
set up as follows.
Usage Mode Switching
The basic menu item 035 “VIDEO COMPRESSION RATE” of the MAV-
555 must be set, depending on whether the MAV-555 is used in the “HD 1
in/1 out” or “SD 1 in/1 out” configuration.

Set the MAV-555 basic menu item 040 “OPTION BOARD” to
“BKMA-510HD” and restart the MAV-555.

Set the MAV-555 basic menu item 035 “VIDEO COMPRESSION
RATE” to the desired mode.
When using the MAV-555 in the “HD 1 in/1 out” configuration, select
“144Mbps”.
When using “SD 1 in/1 out”, select either “30Mbps”, “40Mbps”, or
“50Mbps”.

Restart the MAV-555.
After restarting, the settings made in step 2 will be active.
NOTE
For using the MAV-555 in the “SD 1 in/1 out” configuration, install the
BKMA-510 as the standard board. For information on operation in “SD 1
in/1 out” mode, please refer to the MAV-555 operation manual.
For details on how to set basic menu items, please refer to section “3-4-2 Basic
Menu Operation” of the MAV- 555 operation manual.
MAV-555 Operation Modes
When the BKMA-510HD is installed, the MAV-555 can be operated in
panel mode or DTR mode.
