Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)
Also known as “Picture Messaging”, MMS allows users to create and messages combining text, sound and
graphics. You can send and receive images, voice clips, music, greeting cards and more…even if your Next
Generation phone does not have a camera embedded in it. It should be noted, however, that both the sender
and the receiver must have a Next Generation phone which is MMS capable.
There is a $.20 per message charge for each message sent. The data (kilobytes) used to transfer of the MMS
file will also be deducted from the data in your monthly Wireless Internet plan. (If not a Wireless Internet
subscriber, the sender will be charged $0.03 per kilobyte for the data transfer.) When receiving an MMS
message, the recipient pays nothing; however, the data (kilobytes) used to transfer the file will be deducted from
the recipient’s monthly Wireless Internet data plan balance.
