7. TROUBLESHOOTING
VERY IMPORTANT! Please do not install or use your locale air conditioner until you have carefully read this
manual. Please keep these operating instructions for possible product warranty and later reference.
WARNING! Do not use any means other than those recommended by the manufacturer to speed up the
defrosting process or to clean the appliance. The appliance must be stored in a room without regularly
operated ignition sources (e.g. naked flames, a gas appliance or an electric heater). Do not puncture or
burn. Note that the refrigerants must not contain any odours.
Possible causes
• The air conditioner does not work.
• The air conditioner does not cool the room.
• Strange smell in the room.
• Water is dripping from the air conditioner.
• The remote control does not work.
• The air conditioner does not work for 3 minutes
after switching on.
Possible solutions
• Incorrect timer setting / Check it.
• Problems with the power supply / Call the service
centre.
• The filter may be dirty/ Clean it.
• The room temperature is too high/ Wait until the
temperature has dropped.
• The temperature is not set correctly/ Check it.
• The grilles might be blocked/ Check and remove
any obstructions.
• Moisture in the room coming from walls, pets,
furnishings or the like.
• Faulty installation of the air conditioner.
• Faulty connection of the drain pipe.
• Discharged batteries.
• Incorrect insertion of batteries in the remote
control.
• Protection of the air conditioner. Wait 3 minutes
and the air conditioner will work again.
If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its after-sales service or a similarly
qualified person to avoid a hazard.
The maximum operating temperature for the air
conditioner (maximum cooling: outside DB43°C/
WB26°C, inside DB32°C/ WB23°C; min heating: out-
side DB-S°C/ WB-6°C, inside DB20°C).
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (in-
cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
