8.9 Removal and Fitment of a Directional Transducer Endcap
If the transponder is configured with a directional transducer endcap the removal and fitment
procedures will different to that of the omni-directional transducer.
8.9.1 Directional Transducer Endcap Removal
1. Ensure the transponder has been cleaned with clean fresh water and any marine growth
removed; see
2. Operate the pressure relief vent valve to release any internal pressure; see
"Operating the Pressure Relief Vent Valve"
3. Undo, remove and retain the six nuts, washers
and white nylon spacers
from the end of the
guard
protecting the transducer

4. Lift the end of the transponder housing a small amount to allow the protective guard
and bump
stop
to be removed from the clamp rings
