THE SPEAKER BOX
Speakers–because of their special structure–require special treatment. All
speakers have to be broken in prior to intensive use. Operate only at 50 % load
for the first 30–50 hours of operation!
During this time, do not volume up near maximum load capacity! Only then will
the character and sound quality of the product be realized. The maximum volume
of the audio system is that which can be heard in good quality without distortion.
Increasing the volume does not increase output power, but distortion increases,
which can cause a failure!
THE AMPLIFIER
Only use a good quality and powerful amplifier! When a lower quality or low
power amplifier is in a higher volume position, significant distortion can occur
which will cause harmful effects to the speakers. Using a more powerful than
necessary amplifier may also cause overloading with a not corresponding
speaker. Overload may cause malfunction of the speaker. This is a typical sign of
improper usage. Immediately switch off the amplifier if you hear frustrating noise,
distorted sound, or if you feel a strange odor from the sound box.
INSTALLATION
Check, if the amplifier’s and speaker’s impedances and performance data are
appropriate for connection. The power output of the speakers should be at least
30 to 50% higher than the amplifier's output per channel. Pay particular attention
to the +/- polarities, carefully connect the wires to the sound box and the amplifier.
During this time the amplifier should be disconnected. The red color signal
indicates the positive polarity. The recommended cable cross-section is at least
2
2 x 0.75 mm . Using the clip-on connectors, the ends of the wires must be
inserted into the openings. The bare ends of the wires cannot touch each other!
Before first switching on, check the entire system's stable and short-circuit-free
wiring, the correct polarity, and the volume control should be in a minimum
position. To avoid spilling the speakers, do not make any cable connections on
the amplifier or the audio box during operation. Never turn on the system when
the volume is up. Any of such noise occurring may cause the speakers
malfunction immediately. Keep in mind that the output power on the amplifier is
always valid for off-level equalizers. In particularly high and low equalizer settings
at a given frequency, the loading on the speaker can be increased to multiple
times!
•
If you connect a microphone, place it as far from the speaker box as you can, to
avoid feedback! The speaker box should not be aimed toward the microphone,
as feedback is harmful to the speakers! When using a microphone, increase the
volume carefully, and immediately rotate it off when you experience feedback,
and reposition the speaker box, if needed!
CLEANING
Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners and liquids!
Do not allow to get any liquid inside the appliance and on the connectors.
MAINTENANCE
Occasionally check the integrity of the speakers and the housing. Immediately
power off the unit and contact a specialist in case of any anomaly.
TROUBLESHOOTING
In case of any error is detected, check the following list. This guide will help you to
identify the error, if the device is connected as prescribed. If necessary, contact a
professional!
Speaker box doesn’t emit sound:
• Amplifier is not switched on.
- Check the status of the amplifier and functionality.
• Speaker is not connected properly to the amplifier.
- Check the polarity of the connection cable, possibility of tears/short circuits and
correct connections.
Volume or sound quality is not right:
• Speaker is not connected properly to the amplifier.
- Check the polarity of the connection cable, possibility of tears/short circuits and
correct connections.
Distorted, bad sound:
- Decrease the volume and check the EQ settings!
• Signal source, which is connected to the input of the amplifier, gives high level
signal or it has bad sound quality itself.
- Check the quality of the audio signal source and the signal level
WARNINGS
• Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use
and keep them in an accessible place for later reference! • The connections must
be stable and free of short circuitand according to the required polarity. Red/Black
color code: positive/negative polarity • When leading the connection cables, be
careful not to damage their insulation! • In order to protect the audio system from
the external noise, lead the audio cables far from the power cables! • Do not
make a cable connection during operation. Noise occurring at this time may
damage the speakers. • Do not perform on/off switching with high volume, since
the noise generated this time can ruin the speakers! • Speakers are vulnerable,
do not touch them manually or by other means. • Do not expose the unit to
splashing water and do not place any liquid-filled objects such as cups on the
unit! Do not place any open flame sources such as burning candles on the unit! •
Protect the appliance from dust, humidity, liquids, moisture, frost and shock as
well as from direct heat and sunlight! Only for indoor use, in a dry place! • Do not
touch the speaker surface and the rubber edge by hand. • Speakers contain
magnets, so do not place such objects near them which are sensitive to magnetic
field (e.g.: credit card, cassette, compass …) • There is no warranty for the
failures, resulting from improper installation or irresponsible use.
