PORTABLE MULTIMEDIA STAGE CABINET
APPLICATION
This two-way, bass-reflex active sound box is recommended primarily for use as an amplifier for non-professional bands. It can be mounted on a stand,
and it is easy to carry thanks to its pull-out carrying handle and casters. The built-in battery allows operation without mains voltage. External devices
can be directly connected to the unit with or without cable, e.g.: mobile phone, computer, CD/DVD player, musical instrument, microphone… The unit
includes an FM/BT/USB/microSD/MP3/WMA multimedia player. The package includes a wireless handheld microphone, which can be added one more
wired microphone.
COMMISSIONING
When connecting, observe the functions indicated on the control panel. Make sure that the unit is disconnected from the mains when making connections.
Switch off both the sound box and the device to be connected. Make sure that the connectors have correct wiring and polarity. Keep the microphone
cable and the audio cable away from the power cord. Connect the AC adapter to the sound box first, and then into a mains socket. Before powering up
the system, check the connections for correctness. Connections should be sound and fault-free, and the
VOLUME
control should be set to the minimum.
With the sound box switched on (
POWER ON/OFF
toggle switch), carefully start increasing the volume. Every time you switch the unit on or off, set the
VOLUME
and
MIC VOLUME
controls to the minimum, so that the generated noise will not damage the speakers. Always unpower the unit using the
switch on the back after use, since the remote controller turns off the multimedia unit only.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
The device is designed to run on battery power. The battery must be charged before first use. Connect the supplied AC adapter to the sound box
first (
CHARGING
), then to the mains socket and leave the sound box turned off. While charging, the red indicator turns on above the connector and
an indicator flashes on the display too. When the red LED turns green, finish charging by removing the adapter. You can also charge the unit during
operation, although this will increase the charging time.
When the battery is fully discharged, the charging time is approximately 3.5 hours. The fully charged built-in battery offers about 8 hours of operation
at medium volume. This also depends on the volume set, the mode selected and the ambient temperature. The unit was tested at room temperature,
by listening to the radio.
●
Always disconnect the adapter from the mains after charging and/or use. Leave it connected after the unit is fully charged only if you continue to
operate the unit. When the device is switched off, the automatic battery charger still works. Unplug the adapter from the mains when charging is
complete.
● If the speakers pick up noise from the mains while charging, stop charging during operation.
● To increase lifetime, keep the battery charged when the unit is out of use.
● The battery used is of sealed Li-ion type. It requires no maintenance. At the end of its service life, it can be replaced by a professional after
removing the back cover. The cover is fixed with screws.
● The DC 12V INPUT connector has no function for this model, do not connect anything to it!
VOLUME CONTROL AND FUNCTION SWITCHING
main volume control: VOLUME
multimedia player:
you can also adjust the volume by pressing and holding the
CH+/
or
CH-/
buttons. Pressing and holding the buttons for a
short time may activate another function (such as program change) depending on the current mode.
To change the mode, press the
MODE
button repeatedly. Options:
wireless
BT
connection,
MP3/WMA
playback from an external
USB/microSD
device,
LINE IN
Ø via 3.5mm jack input,
FM
radio.
Microphone volume: MIC VOL
(it simultaneously adjusts wired and wireless microphones)
● You can also adjust the volume using the remote controller.
MAXIMUM VOLUME
All speakers should be run in before normal use. During the first 30 to 50 hours of operation, they should be used at 50% volume.
Higher volumes may, in certain cases, cause distorted sound. This may be caused by an overly high input signal level. To avoid this, turn down the
signal level of the source or, if necessary, the main volume (
VOLUME
). The maximum volume of a system is the one, at which the sound produced is
high quality and distortion free.
●
Any further increase of the volume will not increase the output power, but raise the distortion of the system. This may damage the speakers, as
well as cause defects.
● When connecting a microphone, place it as far away from the sound box as possible to avoid feedback. Do not turn the speaker toward the
microphone, as feedback will damage the speakers. When using a microphone, carefully increase the volume, and if you experience feedback,
immediately turn back the control. If necessary, relocate the sound box.
TONE CONTROL
You can apply custom tone settings to the sources of the multimedia unit by using the
EQ
button on the remote controller. Different signal sources often
require different settings, otherwise the sound quality may decline.
● The EQ button changes the sound of the USB/microSD/BT sources only.
MP3/WMA PLAYBACK (from USB/microSD media)
The player is ready for use when its display illuminates. If you simultaneously insert
USB
and
microSD
sources, you can select between them by using
the
MODE
button or the
U/SD (SCN)
button on the remote controller. The display shows the time elapsed for the current track or the track number
when scrolling. To start playback, press the
PLAY/PAUSE
( )
button, however, it will also start automatically when you insert the external device. Use
