V. Installation Steps
Note:
Whenever you want to learn a channel to a shade (first time or otherwise) make sure that the only shade connected to
power is the one you are adding a channel to.
1-
Put the shade that you want to learn into programming mode and set the limits as described in the link above.
2-
Using the URTSI you would like to control the shade with turn the dial to the channel you want the shade to learn.
3-
Hold the “PROG” button on the URTSI until the shade jogs up and down.
4-
If you want to add another channel a same shade.
a.
Turn the dial on the URTSI for the shade to the shade’s channel.
b.
Hold the “PROG” button on the URTSI until the shade jogs.
c.
Turn the dial to the channel you want to add on the current URTSI or another.
d.
Hold the “PROG” button until the shade jogs.
Somfy products ARE NOT compatible with the Vantage RS-485 station. If a station is wanted or needed and you are using the RS-485
communication, you will need to use an RS-232 station with an RS-485 adapter, both are pictured below. We recommend the B&B
converter with a null modem attached for two way communication.
