Installation

WARNINGS:
RTS 25 DC is designed for one Somfy 24 V motor.
To supply the RTS 25 DC use only SOMFY power supplies.
Cordless radio equipment (e.g. headphones) in 433MHz can affect the functioning of the RTS 25 DC. Please keep them far from your blinds.
Metallic mass (e.g. metallic false ceiling) can affect the functioning of the radio.
Be careful 24V power supply connection in the motor input destroys the product.

Mounting recommendation for a better radio reception:
minimum distance between RTS 25 DC and the floor: 1,5 m.
minimum distance between a RTS 25 DC and a radio transmitter: 30 cm.
minimum distance between two RTS 25 DC: 20 cm.

Mounting of the antenna:

Do not fix the antenna inside or against the headrail.

For a better radio reception, leave the antenna outside
the headrail or inside a plastic cable trunking.

Do not cut or increase the antenna length.

Main supply: 24VDC SELV (mini. 20 VDC / maxi. 40 VDC)

Rated current: 1,3A

Output duration: active for 180s.

Frequency: 433.42 MHz

Protection index: IP20

For internal use only

Compatible with: Telis 1/4 RTS – Telis 1/4 RTS US – Centralis RTS – Chronis RTS – Chronis RTS light

RTS 25 DC is a radio receiver designed for one Somfy 24 V motor and is compatible with all RTS
controls. It can be used with all lift/tilt and lift only blind applications.

Up to 12 RTS controls can be memorised in the memory of RTS 25 DC allowing individual and general control.

An automatic slat tilting function and an intermediate position can be programmed for the lift/tilt applications.

Two automatic intermediate positions can be programmed for lift only applications.

1

Fit 2 headrail adapters onto the RTS 25 DC

2

Connect the motor and the power supply cables onto the RTS 25 DC.

-

Motor connection

(to get the blind going down in accordance with down button of the transmitter)

Connect the motor’s grey wire into the terminal “1”.

the motor runs in a clock wise rotation.

Connect the motor’s grey wire into the terminal “2”.

the motor runs in an anti clock wise rotation.

Motor cable can be run in the corner of the headrail through the motor adapter
and the driving mechanism cradles. Take care that the rotating parts or sharp
edges do not damage the cable.

-

Power supply connection

It is always on the antenna side. No polarity

3

Slide the RTS 25 DC in the headrail.

RTS 25 DC can be secured in headrail by crimping the lips with the appropriate tool.

Reset of the RTS 25 DC

To reset the RTS 25 DC, press its PROG button for more than 7 seconds.
This will erase all of the programmed controls; the intermediate positions and
the automatic tilting.

The blind moves briefly (UP/DOWN), once after 2-3 sec. and again after 7 sec.

The RTS 25 DC is now reset. To begin programming procedure refer to section 3.1.

Nothing works:

Check the wiring of the RTS 25 DC.

Check the motor.

Check the power supply.

Check the battery of the transmitter.

Check the compatibility of the transmitter. Only RTS controls are suitable.

Check that the transmitter has been properly recorded in the RTS 25 DC memory.

Check that the antenna has not been cut.

Check for any other possible source of radio interferences.

Phantom slat tilting:

Be sure to adjust the slat tilting when the blind is approximately

I

down of the window.

Phantom intermediate position:

The programmed IP can only be reached at UP or DOWN limits not when the blind is in another position.

Too short working time:

Lost in your programming mode:

Just make a complete reset and start again (refer to section 6).

To erase both, just press the

button for more than 5 seconds.

The blind will move briefly (UP/DOWN) indicating that RTS 25 DC has deleted the intermediate position and/or the tilting.

If you record a new tilting speed this will automatically erase the previous one.
