11 DIAGNOSTIC AND TROUBLESHOOTING
11.1 Indicator light status
Off
Slow flashing
Permanently lit
Rapid flashing
Very rapid flashing
11.2 Diagnostic
SET indicator light
The first time the unit is powered on, programming is not carried
out
→ Perform quick commissioning of the motorisation.
Programming in progress
Electronic fault
Motor thermal cut-out
→ Switch the power supply off, wait about 5 min. then switch the
power supply back on.
Programming complete
Photoelectric cells indicator light
Normal operation
• Detection in progress
→ Once detection is complete, the indicator light goes out.
• Permanent fault
→ Check the alignment and wiring of the cells.
NOTICE! After 3 mins, the wired control input (terminals 12 and
13) allows the door to be controlled in dead-man mode.
Auto-test in progress
→ Once the auto-test is complete, the indicator light goes out.
Photoelectric cells indicator light + P4 indicator light
Short-circuit at cells safety input
→ If, when confirming P4=2 (BUS cells), the P4 and photoelectric
cells indicator lights are flashing, there is a short-circuit on the
cells safety input, and the parameter modification is disregarded.
Check that the bridge between terminals 17 and 18 has been
removed, and check the connection of the cells (see
). Set up P4 again, and then perform auto-
programming again.
Gate contact indicator light
Normal operation
• Detection in progress
→ Once detection is complete, the indicator light goes out.
• Permanent fault
→ Check the closure of the gate and the gate contact wiring.
Auto-test in progress
→ Once the auto-test is complete, the indicator light goes out.
Wired control indicator light
Normal operation
Control activated
→ Mechanically check that the control point is not blocked. If the
control point is not blocked, disconnect the control point. If the
indicator light goes out, check the wiring.
Indicator lights (15 to 18)
Short circuit on connected peripherals wired input
→ Check the operation and wiring of the connected peripherals.
→ If the indicator lights are still flashing, cut the power supply,
remove the green terminal block, wait 30 s and then switch the
power supply back on: if all 4 indicator lights stop flashing, check
the wiring of the cells and peripherals connected to the wired
inputs.
→ If the indicator lights are still flashing, cut the power supply,
remove the black terminal block (7-8-9), wait 30 s and then switch
the power supply back on: if all 4 indicator lights stop flashing,
check the wiring of all peripherals connected to this power supply.
→ If the indicator lights are still flashing, cut the power supply,
remove the orange terminal block (5-6), wait 30 s and then switch
the power supply back on: if all 4 indicator lights stop flashing,
check the wiring of the orange light, and then refit the terminal
block. Start a movement to make sure there is no short-circuit.
→ If all 4 indicator lights continue to flash, contact Somfy technical
assistance.
Parameter setting indicator lights
Locking/unlocking the programming buttons
→ If all the indicator lights flash when a programming button is
pressed, the keypad is locked. Unlock it, see
PROG indicator light
No radio reception when a button is pressed on the remote
control
→ Check if the remote control button has been programmed.
→ Check that the remote control is equipped with io-homecontrol
radio technology.
→ Check the remote control batteries.
Radio control received but no action by the actuator
→ Check the other indicator lights to see if there is another fault.
→ The control is not operational from this position.
→ The button is memorised for a function other than opening/
closing the door (for example controlling the auxiliary output).
→ Check that the "SET" indicator light is lit constantly to ensure
that the programming has been carried out.
11.3 Safety devices failure
In the event of a photoelectric cells failure, a key contact connected between
terminals 12 and 13 enables the door to be controlled in dead-man mode
after 3 minutes.
11.4 Set&Go settings
CAUTION
Additional settings may have been made using the Set&Go tool, and are not
accessible with the motor interface (see
