CAUTION
●Do not use the chair before you are familiar with how to operate the controller .
CAUTION
●The controller unit is set to ensure that the chair can give its best performacne.
Shoud the setting be adjusted due to medical needs, the adjustment should be
made by KARMA dealers. Do not change or adjust the wiring layout of the chair
for your safety .
5.4.1 Power ON/OFF
Press the power button. Be sure not to touch the joystick while switching on the
controller. Your battery & diagnostics indicator should light up.
5.4.2 Speed Adjustment Buttons
The speed adjustment buttons allows you to set various forward .
CAUTION
●Please slow down before you get used to control your powered wheelchair.
●Please slow down your speed when driving indoors.
5.4.3 Forward, Reverse and Braking
Push forward on the joystick to make the wheelchair move forward .
Pull back on the joystick for the wheelchair to move backward
Release the joystick and the wheelchair will quickly slow down, the
electromagnetic brake will be activated to stop the wheelchair.
Come to a complete stop before turning the power OFF.
CAUTION
●The stopping distance will vary with your forward/reverse speed.
●Therefore, please gradually slow down and come to a complete stop well before
any obstacles or danger.
●To park the wheelchair, be sure to park on flat ground and then turn the power to
OFF.
●NEVER use the freewheel mode when going down an incline.
●The electromagnetic brake won't function in freewheel mode.
5.4.4 Horn Button
The horn will sound for the duration of time the button is pressed .
5.4.5 Locking / Unlocking the Wheelchair
The control system can be locked to prevent unauthorized use .
