PPPoE Connection
PPP, or point-to-point protocol, is a method of establishing a network connection/session between network hosts. PPPoE is a
protocol for encapsulating PPP frames in Ethernet frames and is described in RFC 2516. PPPoE provides the ability to connect
to a network of hosts over a simple bridging access device to a remote access concentrator. With this model, each router uses its
own PPP stack. Access control, billing, and type of service control can all be done on a per-user rather than per-site basis.
