Creating a Logic Project
In the Logic Pro
File
menu, select
New
. In the
New
window and click
Empty Project
– you will be prompted to create new
audio tracks.
Create a single stereo audio track, assigned
to inputs and outputs 1 and 2.
Finally, click on File again, select Save As… ,
name your trial project and click Save . This
way you won’t have to do it when you start
recording.
Mixer Overview
The Logic Pro Mixer will be configured as shown below (on the keyboard, press
⌘
&
2
to display the Mixer) If necessary,
click the
Arrange
button (near the top of the Mixer) so that it is lit in blue, with
Single
and
All
turned off.
• The Audio channel strip receives the signal from the MadiXtreme input or – after recording – from the recorded track
in the Arrange window
• The Output channel strip controls the overall output level for all tracks assigned to the selected output
• The Master channel strip acts as an overall level control for the Mixer
