SOLARIS® BASIC 90™

FIXTURE OPERATION

This section explains the fixture settings and utilities that the user has access to when us

-

ing the control panel. Settings are retained when the fixture is powered off.

The  SOLARIS® BASIC 90™ can function in different modes:

DMX 8 CHANNEL MODE.

 When operated in DMX 8 channel mode the fixture back 

screen will show d001 when first accessed. By setting a value different from 001 you can 

change the unit’s DMX address according to your lighting setup. Optional DMX address 

values are 1 to 512. When you reach the desired value, press ENTER to save your changes.

HOST \ SLAVE MODE

In this mode, it is possible to link several units together (up to 32) in a way which only the 

first fixture acts as a master fixture and the rest of the fixtures follow accordingly. To select 

between ‘the two modes for each fixture scroll down by pressing “MENU” until the back 

screen shows “HOST”. to change to slave mode press “ENTER” once and then by using the 

up & down buttons at the bottom of the screen click until the back screen shows “SLAV” 

then press “ENTER” once to save your settings.

Fixture Grouping By Setting “MEMBERS”

 - E001  -  EO32 - Use this option to use the fix

-

tures in the order in which they are connected. simply enter the total number of fixtures 

used together. for example: if you connect 8 fixtures, the value should be EO08 in all the 

connected fixtures. The first fixture should be set to “HOST” and the rest of the fixtures 

should be set to “SLAV”.

Fixture Grouping By Setting “LOCATION” 

- E-01  - E-32 - Use this option to use the fixture 

in a particular order. Simply enter the value for each of the fixtures used together. for 

example: if you connect 8 fixtures, the value should be E-01 in the first fixture E-02 in the 

second fixture and so on. Every fixtures gets its own unique identity within the line. The 

first fixture should be set to “HOST” and the rest of the fixtures should be set to “SLAV”.

Automatic Group Effects

 - EE01-EE22 -  in this section you can use one of the 22 Effects 

Available by setting a value between EE00-EE08 allows you to pick a color effect. by se

-

lecting a value between 9-21 you can select different macro effects. by selecting EE22 you 

can select a scroll effect that would run through EE00-EE21, These effects will react to the 

speed master “Host \ Slave Speed”. these effects will operate in all the connected fixtures 

according to the user setup (Fixture Grouping Members or Fixture grouping Location).  

Host \ Slave Speed Master 

 (T000-T255) will determine the speed of the effect running in 

HOST\SLAVE mode. Using the UP & DOWN buttons below the screen, you can control the 

change the value. 0 will be no speed and 255 will be full speed, press ENTER once you en

-

tered your desired value to save your changes.

STANDALONE MODE

 which allows you to manually change the parameters of the fixture 

without using DMX data link. This fixture, when used in standalone mode offers

SOUND TO LIGHT MODE

 offers two different ways of controlling the fixture using sound 

input.

When the back screen shows 

1S01 

this is the 

Sound to Strobe

 mode, and as the name 

suggests the fixture will strobe according the the sound input captured by its built-in micro

-

phone. Selecting a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buttons below the screen 

will control the effect speed.

When the back screen shows 

2S01 

this is the 

Sound to Color

 mode, and as the name sug

-

gests the fixture will change colors according the the sound input captured by its built-in 

microphone. Selecting a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buttons below the 

screen will control the effect speed.

MANUAL COLOR BLENDING MODE

 - When operated in this mode the fixture back screen 

will show either: R000 (Red), G000 (Green), B000 (Blue) or W000 (White) when first ac

-

cessed.  By setting a value between 000-255, using the UP & DOWN buttons below the 

screen, you can control the desired amount of every color (RGBW). When you reach the 

desired value, press ENTER to save your changes.

You can also manually 

control strobe flashing

 by changing the values when the back screen 

shows F000 (strobe) using the UP & DOWN buttons below the screen, you can control the 

desired strobing speed, when you reach the desired value, press ENTER to save your chang

es.
