Chapter 6
Collecting Data
6.3
Use the POWERUP Configuration
When you use the receiver without a handheld data collector, the
receiver will typically use the POWERUP configuration that is
loaded on the receiver.
6.3.1
About the POWERUP configuration
A receiver’s POWERUP configuration is a set of parameters that
tells the receiver what type of information should be stored
during a data collection session.
The receiver initially operates using the POWERUP
configuration, which is always present on the receiver unless you
remove it.
The POWERUP configuration tells the receiver:
• What type of data to collect (for example, observations,
ephemeris, almanac).
• The interval at which data should be collected (for example,
every 10 seconds).
• The antenna height.
• The elevation mask.
• The site name and number (optional).
• The COM port baud rates.
6.3.2
Default POWERUP configurations
Your receiver is preset with one of two possible default
POWERUP configurations. Table 26 summarizes the factory
setup for each configuration.
NOTE
✉
If you want to change the default (factory reset) POWERUP
configuration, contact your SOKKIA distributor.
