This chapter describes how to manage and maintain the SNR-S212i-8POE, including the

You can manage and maintain the SNR-S212i-8POE in the following modes:
Command Line Interface (CLI)
Web
SNMP
5.1.1 CLI mode
Console interface management
Console interface management refers to configure and manage the SNR-S212i-8POE through
a terminal or a PC that runs the terminal emulation program. This is out-of-band management
mode and does not rely on the service network. Though the service network is operating
improperly, you can configure and manage the SNR-S212i-8POE through the Console
interface.
Telnet management
The Telnet protocol, one of the TCP/IP protocol suites, is a standard protocol for remote login
via the Internet. Applied with the Telnet protocol, a local PC can be a terminal for the remote
