Air Vents
Never cover air vents. Keep them free from obstructions
and debris. They must always remain clear for proper
motor cooling.

wear loose fitting clothing or articles such as scarves, strings,
chains, ties, etc., that could get drawn into the air vents.
To make sure long hair does not get drawn into the air vents,
tie back long hair.
Blowing Operation
• Hold the blower firmly with your dominant hand on the
unit handle and the other hand on the soft grip.
Sweep from side to side with the blower tube several
inches above the ground or floor (Fig. 43).
• Slowly advance the unit, keeping the accumulated pile of
debris in front of you.
Maint Care
1. Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and clean at all times.
2. Remove dust and dirt regularly. Cleaning is best done with
a rag or brush.
3. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.

Assembly
Connecting to the Telescoping Pole
The hedge trimmer head comes fully assembled. To use the
machine as a pole hedge trimmer, connect the hedge trimmer
head with the telescoping pole as indicated below.
1. Open the assembly lock on the telescoping pole, and
push the hedge trimmer head into the opening on the end
of the pole (Fig. 44).
2. When the lock tabs snap in, lock back the assembly lock,
and the pole hedge trimmer will be ready to use (Fig. 45).
