Handset Registration
Registering the handset to the base station
The handset is pre-registered to the base station. If the handset
becomes deregistered, perform the registration procedure as follows.
To register the handset:
1. Make sure the handset has a charged battery before proceeding.
Make sure the base station is connected to power.
2. If the handset is displaying the message “Press and hold handset
locator key at base for 4 seconds”, press
OK
and then go to
step 10.

on the handset.
The Main Menu appears.

to select ( Settings) and press ENTER .
5. Press

to scroll to
User Settings
and press
ENTER
.
6. Press
p
to scroll to Registration and press ENTER .
7. With Handset highlighted, press OK .
8. Press
q
and
p
to highlight the Base (1-4) to which you want to
register.
An asterisk * indicates the base slot has been registered to a base.
For example: Base 1*. Highlight a base without an asterisk *.
9. Press
ENTER
.
The handset screen displays “Registering / Please wait.”
10. On the base station, press the HANDSET LOCATOR button for
at least four seconds, and then release the button.
Both LEDs on the base station begin to flash.
11. If prompted, enter the PIN on the handset, and then press OK to
begin registration.
The default PIN is 1592.
The process takes up to 10 seconds to complete.
When the first handset registers, it beeps and the
screen displays “Handset Registered”. Press the
MENU/SELECT
button.
If the handset fails to register, place it in the charger again for a
few seconds, remove it and repeat the registration procedure.
