Lock /child safety device
The lock can be used to block operation and settings (e.g. power setting 4).
Only the ON/OFF key can be used to switch the hob off.
The lock can be activated both when the hob is switched on and when it is
switched off. An activated lock will remain activated even if the hob is
switched off! The lock hence also serves as a child safety device in order to
prevent the hob from being operated unintentionally or intentionally.
Activating the lock
1. Press the
Lock key
until the buzzer sounds. The control lamp for
the lock will light up. The lock has been activated and the control sensors
cannot be operated.
De-activating the lock
2. Press the
Lock key
until the buzzer sounds. The control lamp for
the lock will go off and the lock will have been deactivated.
Automatic switch-off (timer)
The automatic switch-off device is used to automatically switch off any
cooking zone after a stipulated period of time. Cooking times ranging from 01
minute to 99 minutes can be set.
1. Switch on the hob. Switch on one or more cooking zones and set the
required power settings.
2. Press the
Select/Plus key
. The standby dot will light up.
3. Then immediately enter the cooking time with the
Timer key
(for
increasing the time).
The control lamp for locating the position of a cooking zone on the glass
ceramic hob will light up.
Press the
Minus key
to reduce the cooking time.
Important!
• Timer indicator lamps can only blink if the cooking zones have already
been switched on (power setting higher than 0).
• With the timer key the display will commence at 01, and with the Minus key
it will commence at 60.
• The setting will be reset if the
Timer key
and
the
Minus key
are
pressed simultaneously (00).
4. To program the automatic switch-off device for another cooking zone,
repeatedly press the
Timer key
until the control lamp for allocating
the position of a cooking zone on the glass ceramic hob lights up.
5. The cooking zone will be switched off when the time has lapsed. A signal
will sound for a while and can be switched off by pressing any key (except
for the ON/OFF key).
Instructions
• In order to check the time that has lapsed (automatic-switch-off device)
press the
Timer key
repeatedly until the timer indicator lamp for the
required cooking zone blinks. The setting displayed can be read and
changed.
• Terminating the function of the timer: select the respective cooking zone
(timer indicator lamp blinks) and press the
Timer key
and the
Minus
key
once at the same time.
