Mounting

Operating Environment

1. Do not use in the following environments, as

it may cause failure.

1) Environments where corrosive gases, organic

solvents, or chemicals are present, or a
location where the product is exposed to these
substances.

2) Where the product is exposed to sea water,

water, or water vapor.

3) Where the product is exposed to ultraviolet

rays or temperature increase.

4) Where product is exposed to heat sources or

in areas that the product is exposed to radiant
heat.

5) An area exposed to direct sunlight.
6) Where impact or vibration is present.

One-touch Fitting Precautions

1. When piping or fitting is used, flush or clean

it before connecting it to the product.

2. Do not apply excessive force to the product

when connecting piping to the product.

Connect piping so that force such as tension,
compression or bending is not applied to the
product.

Tighten the screw by hand, and then apply a
spanner to the spanner flats to tighten the screw
for additional 1 to 2 rotations.
For M thread, tighten it by hand completely until
the ends of the fitting come into contact with the
mounting surface. Then apply additional
tightening. Do not rotate the screw more than 30
degrees for additional tightening. (The
maximum tightening torque: 0.2 Nm)

3. Do not mount the product in a place where

dust will be stirred up by the exhaust air from
the product and affect peripheral equipment.

4. Do not mount the product in a location where

air from the product will be directly
exhausted to the workpiece.

5. Check the dimensions to select the correct

product size, as a fitting may interfere with the
product and it may not be possible to mount the
product when it is mounted to a tube connection
port of a solenoid valve, etc.

Supply Air

1.

Do not use air which contains ozone,

corrosive gases, organic solvents, or
chemicals, as it will cause damage to the
product.

1. Do not use air containing water drops.
2. Install a mist separator (AM series), micro

mist separator (AMD series), or micro mist
separator with pre-filter (AMH series) on the
upstream side.

3. For use of the product with ejector, avoid

sucking liquid such as water and oil together
with air.

1

Clean One-touch fitting (KP Series) is used

for the One-touch fitting type. Grease is not
used due to the Series KP oil-free
specifications. For this reason, greater
insertion force is required when tubing is
installed. In particular, polyurethane tubing
may fold when inserted due to its softness.
Hold the end of the tubing, and insert it all
the way in slowly and securely.

2

The outside diameter of tubes that have

been used at high temperatures or for long
periods of time will expand, and in some
cases pipe fitting cannot be reattached.
Tubes that cannot be attached should be
discarded and replaced with new ones.

3

Refer to the precautions for KP Series for

handling One-touch fittings.
