Configuration
Auto-increment addressing can be used address each slave device according to its physical position in the
communication ring, and does not require local address setting.
To configure the EX260 SI unit with the EtherCAT master, an XML Device Description File is required.
The technical document giving detailed configuration information and the XML file can be found on the SMC

Setting using System Manager
1. Copy the XML file *

for this unit to the following folder:

TwinCAT

EtherCAT (this path is valid only when the default setting is kept.)
Start up the TwinCAT
System Manager after copying.

2-1. Off-line manual configuration method
2-1-1. Right click the [I/O Devices] file, and then select [Append Device].
2-1-2. Select the [EtherCAT] and [EtherCAT Adapter (Direct Mode)] files and click the OK button.
