4. MOUNTING AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
To ensure the SVA400L operates smoothly and within the product warranty compliance, please adhere to all following
installation instructions:
4.1 Location
Install the SVA400L in a dry and ventilated location ensuring that it is shielded from humidity, moisture, rain and/or
other sources of liquid. Do not install the SVA400L on a recessed surface where liquids may accumulate or on areas
where liquids may drip down onto the unit.
SVA400L should be installed on areas that are free of electromagnetic interference
Keep SVA400L away from direct sunlight and/or other sources of heat during installation.
Do not install the unit on a surface that is vulnerable to excessive vibration.
4.2 Power
SVA400L supports power supply ranges from 8v ~36v DC. Handle all electrical equipments with caution to avoid
injuries.
Turn off the power before connecting/disconnecting SVA400L from the power supply.
SVA400L is connected to both the vehicle ignition and the battery. The SVA400L’s power is supplied by the battery
when the vehicle starts up, and may drain the battery if the ignition is not turned off.
Correctly attach the SVA400L ground cable to the vehicle to complete the power circuit.
Disconnect SVA400L from the power supply when it is not in use for an extended period of time.
4.3 Humidity
The working humidity for SVA400L is between 20-95%.
Do not handle SVA400L with wet hands, while standing in water, or while in contact with other sources of liquid, as
these can potentially result in an electric shock.
4.4 Temperature
The SVA400L with SD card operates in a sealed enclosure with no airflow. Its minimum and maximum operating
temperatures are +5°C (41°F) and 55°C (131°F) respectively.
