Point the original remote to the bottom of the
SR-525. The learning eye is at its bottom.

Try the learning procedure again. Repeated
“error” messages probably indicate that the
SR-525 does not recognize the particular IR
code.

The button that you pressed has not been
con figured. Configure the button using the
learning procedure.
The RECORD
button does not
work
•
A feature of the SR-525 prevents the record
function of your Tape or VCR from starting
un intentionally. Hold the RECORD button for
about 2-3 seconds for the command to be sent
to the VCR.
Problems
learning from 2-
way remotes
•
Some remotes return a confirmation signal
from the device, which can confuse the
learning capability. The device should be
prevented from sending this signal during the
learning procedure. Turn off the device while
program ming, or go to another room.
Alternately, move The SR-525 out of the line-of-
sight of the device imm ediately after
programming a button.
