DioDe / BroKeN CirCuit test
1. Connect the black measuring cord to the COM socket and the red cord to the V
Ω
F socket. The red cord’s polarity is “+”.
2. Turn the dial to the diode sign.
3. Press button (3) to select the diode / broken circuit function.
4. Touch the anode with the red wire and the cathode with the black wire.
5. The instrument displays the opening voltage in mV.
6. Broken circuit test: The the resistance between the measuring pins is less than 50
Ω
, the instrument emits a beep. This way you can verify the
conductivity of a cable or switch.
traNsistor test
1. 1. Turn the dial to the hFE test sign.
2. Connect the transistor to the socket in the front panel, keeping in mind the type’s wiring (you can test NPN as well as PNP transistors).
3. The display shows the amplification factor between 1 and 1000. The measurement current in the base is 10 µA, VCE = 3.2 V.
FreQueNCY MeasureMeNt
1. Connect the black measuring cord to the COM socket and the red cord to the V
Ω
F socket.
2. Turn the dial to the Hz position and connect the measuring pins to the circuit to be measured.
Note: The measurement is only reliable if the input voltage is between 200 mV and 10 V AC rms. The measured value is not guaranteed to be correct if the input
voltage exceeds the higher limit. It is recommended to use a shielded cable when measuring low-voltage signals.

1. Select the desired capacitance measurement range (nF/µF).
2. Carefully and completely discharge the capacitor to be measured.
3. Connect the measurement cords to the COM an mACx sockets.
4. Connect the measuring pins to the part’s connectors, observing the correct polarity (red is positive; mACx socket).
Note: You must select the proper measurement range (326 nF/32.6 µF) manually. Do not use button (1).
In the nF range the display will not show zero if the measurement cords are not connected to a part because of the instrument’s large sensitivity. Subtract the
displayed value from the measurement’s result.

By default (after switching on or selecting a different function), the instrument always uses automatic measurement range detection. You can also
change the desired range manually by pressing (1). This will shift the position of the decimal sign and the change the unit of measurement in the
display, and the label “R-H” will appear. To return to automatic range detection, press and hold button (1) for three seconds.

You can store the value currently shown in the display by pressing (2). To clear, press the button again, or turn the dial to a different
position. When this function is active, the display will show the “D-H” symbol.
