3. Check whether the DC connectors have the correct polarity.
If the DC connector is equipped with a DC cable of the wrong polarity, the DC connector must
be configured again. The DC cable must always have the same polarity as the DC connector.

CAUTION
There is a risk of fire when connecting reverse polarity DC cables with
integrated string fuse.
A fire may occur when connecting reverse polarity DC cables with integrated string fuses to
a terminal. This may result in injuries due to burns or inverter damage.
• Check all DC cables with integrated string fuses for correct polarity.
5. Ensure that the open-circuit voltage of the PV array does not exceed the maximum input
voltage of the inverter.
6. Connect the assembled DC connectors to the inverter.
☑ The DC connectors snap into place.
7. For unused DC connectors, push down the clamping bracket and push the swivel nut up to the
thread.
8. Insert the sealing plug into the DC connector.

9. Insert the DC connectors with sealing plugs into the
corresponding DC inputs on the inverter.
☑ The DC connectors snap into place.
10. Ensure that the DC connectors with sealing plugs are securely in place.
6.4 Retrofitting the Surge Arrester Type II
The inverter is equipped ex works with surge arresters or it can be retrofitted (see Section 15
"Spare Parts and Accessories", page 90).
