Slingbox User Guide

Updating Slingbox

From time to time, there are new firmware updates available for your Slingbox. You will be automatically prompted. You can also check for updates 
manually.

Updating Slingbox Firmware Automatically

To update Slingbox firmware automatically:
1. When SlingPlayer informs you that a new version of firmware is available for your Slingbox, click 

Yes

.

The Slingbox Setup Wizard starts.

2. Click 

Next

. 

3. Click 

Browse

 to select an alternate location for the Firmware file.

4. Select 

Update the firmware now

. Click 

Next

.

The Wizard downloads the updates from the Sling Media site. You can track the progress on this screen. 
The Wizard then restarts your Slingbox

5. Click 

Next

. Click 

Finish

.

Note

It is recommended to accept default values.
