SleepSafe II Articulated

(Medium Bed)

Use & Care Guide

Operation

Plug in your new electric frame into a
standard wall outlet.  The electric frame is
operated using a cordless RF (radio fre-
quency) handset.  Fig. 1 to the right
shows the basic operation of all functions
on your handset.  This handset is not like
a typical remote control such as your tele-
vision remote in that it does not need to
be pointed at the bed to operate.  This is
a convenient feature, but be aware that
the handset can operate the bed from
another room, out of sight of the patient
in the bed.  Please keep the handset in a
secure location, near the bed.

* If the handset indicator lights up, but the
bed does not operate, try changing the posi-

tion of the channel switch on the end of the

remote.  This should only be an issue the first

time you use your bed.

** The handset requires 3 “AAA” Batteries.  Replace the batteries whenever the bed responds in an unusual

manner.

Maintenance

Periodic checks of the tightness of all fasteners is recommended for product stability and safety.
Be sure to retain these instructions as well as the tools provided in the event that any minor adjust-
ments should be required in the future.

All bed surfaces should be cleaned with water and mild detergent using a soft cloth.  Avoid abra-
sives and solvents.
