The reserve parachute consists of the parachute it-
self, the red rescue handle, the V-shaped bridle and the
front container. The rescue handle on the front con-
tainer is part of the RANGE AIR harness. This is the
only rescue handle that may be used.
When installing the rescue parachute in the RANGE
AIR front container, be sure to attach the rescue han-
dle to the loop in the middle of the rescue parachute
and not to a loop on the side. Connect the rescue par-
achute to the V-bridle using a shackle with at least
2400 daN mechanical strength, such as a Maillon Rapi-
de 6mm screw shackle.
Secure the connecting lines on both sides of the
shackle with rubber rings. The use of webbed straps
is not recommended because they can slip if the at-
tachment is asymmetric and could tear due to the high
heat of friction during a rescue deployment.
Once the rubber rings have been installed, the front
container can be closed.
