5.6-8 Starter Replacement Procedure
1.
Turn main power disconnect to the “ ” off
position (of equipped) then disconnect battery
terminals negative, then positive.
2. Locate starter at the left side of the engine
between the engine and the frame.

WARNING
A second person to assist will be required to
complete this procedure.
3. Locate the upper and lower bolts securing the
starter motor unit. Using a 13 mm socket remove
upper bolt then remove the lower bolt.

4. Remove the existing starter from the side of the engine.
