Programming of call addresses
DIP-Switch
Programming button
4.1
Programming of only one call address (one bell button for one station)
Set the required call address of the device at the DIP switch according to the SKS-bus call address table in the
appendix. Every call address is assigned to a bell button. In SKS door stations the assignment of the call addresses
can be found inside the door station or on the door loud speaker.
4.2
Programming of up to 4 call addresses (2…4 bell buttons for one indoor station)
The 300098 BUS bell can store up to 4 SKS bus calling addresses for house, internal, or group addresses. The
address set at the DIP switch is always the main address that is transmitted as the individual device identification.
The 300098 BUS bell responds to up to 3 more calling addresses if there is an incoming house call (door bells at the
front door station), an internal call (speaking on the intercom between two stations), and a group call (speaking on
the intercom of one door station with one of up to 4 other indoor stations).
Step
Description
1
If you are not sure whether false or general call addresses were stored in the intercom unit, it is
recommended to delete all stored call addresses in the station.
2
Set the call address on the DIP-Switch. The 1st call address is the house call.
3
Press the programming button for around 5 seconds until the first control tone sounds.
4
After this control tone sounds, there will be a short tone. It signals that the call address has been
programmed. The number of short tones signals to which memory location the call address was
saved.
5
To program additional call addresses, repeat steps 2 though 4.
6
The intercom unit ist only ringing at the programmed call addresses. The existing or subsequently
changed DIP switch setting has no effects to the intercom unit, regardless how it is set.
Note
A maximum of 5 call addresses can be programmed into one indoor station. 4 addresses in the
memory and 1 address on the Dip-switch. If call addresses are to be changed, all stored call
addresses of this station must be deleted before.
After concluding programming, reset the DIP-Switch to the main address so it is possible to easily assign the bell
button to the intercom in case of a fault.
4.3
Deletion of all calling addresses
It is not possible to delete individual calling addresses via the programming button. In any case all addresses will be
deleted. Keep the programming button pressed for about 25 seconds. While the button is pressed there will be
several audible signals. The deletion is complete when there is a high pitch tone for 3 seconds. Release the
programming button. All calling addresses are now deleted.
Note
Once the programmed calling addresses have been deleted, only the address that was set at the
DIP switch is operative
