Description
An SKS-bus system consists in the simplest case of one line, the so-called main line. The line expansion together
with the Comfort main door station offers the option of adding up to 8 main lines. A call can be placed on each of the
main lines. Using the line expansion, it is also not just possible to realize large systems, up to 8 calls can be held at
the same time at 8 door stations. The line expansion is needed for systems with more than 48 intercom units or if
several calls need to be placed at the same time.

Structure of a call address
Structure of the call address in the
Comfort main door station. The standard call address range is 1A…12D.
If a line
expansion is used, the line number must be entered along with the call address. To call an indoor station with the
call address A1 which is located in the line 3, you have to enter the line Number and the call address in the Comfort
door station

Setting door station addresses
Every line expansion has a DIP-Switch. The door station address is set on this DIP-Switch. The door station address
that you set must agree with the door station address on the Comfort main door to which the line expansion is
attached. The table below shows the door station address and the DIP-Switch settings on the Comfort main door
station and the matching DIP-Switch settings on the line expansion.
Hinweis
If the DIP-Switch setting does not match, either the wrong line expansion or none will switch the
signal on to one of the 8 lines. No intercom unit will ring when called from the door station. Pay
attention to the master/slave settings as described under 6.
