HOW TO PLAY
Pro Training Soccer Volley can be played by all ages and skill levels. Teams consist from 1-10 players on each side of the net. The Pro
Training Soccer Volley Net can be used with either the Pro Training Agility Poles at two feet tall, which is meant for more beginner levels, or
with the Pro Training Poles set at four and a half feet up to six feet tall.
To score the necessary amount of points to win the game by getting the ball over the net using only touches allowed in soccer.
Service rotates from side to side like volleyball. Breaking service changes side only. Service is done from the service line only, and each
team rotates servers after fault occurs. Service is done by kicking the ball to the opposing team over the net starting with a half volley. The
ball must make contact with the ground on each actual serve, but not throughout the following rally.
Ball handling is per soccer rules (i.e. no hands or arms allowed). The ball may be touched up to three (3) times per side, but only twice by
the same player. The ball may touch the surface one (1) time per side. The ball may touch the net (other than on service) and is in play as
long as it does not hit the surface more than once or is touched more than three (3) times.
Service is determined by volley-off to earn the right to serve first. That point is not counted toward the score.
A point is scored only by the serving team when the ball touches the playing surface more than once on the opposing side or is touched
more than three (3) times by the receiving team or is out of bounds.
The game is won when a team reaches 15 points. The winning score must be by a two (2) point margin.
For less advanced player the rules can be altered to create more success.
For example, the net can be lowered, the touches per side can be unlimited and the touches per player can be unlimited.
The game is intended to make the warm up fun and get some touches in a competitive environment.
* Pro Training Soccer Volley Net works best when used with Pro Training Poles.
