Attaching Sander Insert 

The following Skil Sander Models may be used with the sander
insert:  Model 7500.

BEFORE USING THE SANDER: Read the
instruction manual that came with the sander.

From among the loose parts, locate the following hardware (Fig. 1).

1. Make sure the sander switch is in the OFF position and the cord

is unplugged.

2. Install sanding belt per the sander’s original instruction manual.

3. Attach sander wear brackets

to insert.  (Fig. 1)

4. Fasten the right and left sander brackets

to the insert

using 4 hex-head-screws

and 4 wing nuts

as shown. (Fig. 1)

5. Insert the sander, making sure that the tabs

on the flat

brackets engage with the four slots

on the sides of the sander

(Fig. 2).

6. Install the front bracket

using 2 hex-head screws

as shown. Be sure the sander is

fimly installed and cannot work its way loose.

7. Attach retaining bracket

onto bottom of insert using hex-head

screws

8. Lift the red latch lever

located at front of the table opening and

remove blank insert (Fig. 3).

9. Slip tabs X on edge of insert into rear of table opening. (Fig. 4)

10. Lower the front edge of insert

11. Install the fence

using the (2) Wing nuts

12. Lock the sander switch to the ON position.

13. Make sure the main table power switch is in the OFF position.

14. Insert the sander electrical plug into the accessory power outlet.

15. See the section on “Operation of the Accessory Power Outlet”.

16. Operate the sander in accordance with the sections entitled

“Sander Safety” and “Operation of a Sander with the Sander
Insert” in this manual.
