9.2 Manual illing

Close the fillport tightly after filling. Ensure
that the sealing ring is in the correct posi-
tion beforehand. Otherwise, faults may
occur during pressure build-up in the
reservoir.
To prevent damage to the sealing ring,
do not over-tighten the screw plug.
• Fasten the screw plug finger-tight using
a hexagon socket screw key.

• Visually inspect for leakage while the sys-
tem is running.
There is a sealing ring underneath the
iller screw (

).
• After pressure has been relieved, loosen
and remove the iller screw (

) using a
hexagon socket screw key (WAF 12).
Only ill using clean lubricant. Ensure
cleanliness during the illing procedure.
• Use a funnel to fill the reservoir with
lubricant up to the “max.” mark;
do not
overfill
.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Only fill using clean lubricant and an ap-
propriate device.
Contaminated lubricants can result in se-
vere system malfunction.
Observe the instructions from the machine
manufacturer regarding the lubricants that
are to be used.
9.3 Automatic illing
MQL systems can optionally be filled auto-
matically.
This requires that the customer’s supply line
be connected to the port on the filling pump
(

). DIP switches 2 and 3 on the control unit
must also be set to “Refilling, automatic”
(see Chapter 7.1.1.2).
