Notes on getting on and off: Proceed as follows to avoid excessive load to the motor:
FIRST switch on the treadmill and allow it to run slowly. Then get on the treadmill to start your
training session. If you find that the belt „creeps“ to the left or right while training, repeat the
adjustment procedure and recenter. It may be necessary to perform this readjustment a number
of times. Once you have adjusted the belts correctly, it is sufficient to check this position at regular
intervals of several weeks. Also, check for correct centering each time the unit is folded up and/or
transported.
The safety clip
The SAFETY CLIP immediately interrupts the power supply to the treadmill completely if pulled
away from the console. The treadmill stops all motion. Place the other end of the clip at your clo-
thes, so the clip will be pulled away from console in case you tumble or fall.
This is a safety precaution in order to prevent hurts!
Maintenance
There is no other regular maintenance except the lubrication. You should check on regular bases,
if the bottom side of the tread belt has got enough lubrication. This ensures a long life and good
performance.
IMPORTANT: Please observe the following points for the lubrication of your treadbelt ca-
refully, because a not or not correct lubricated tread belt may cause a very hot walking
surface, which may lead to injury!
1. Check, if the tread belt needs lubrication
a. Carefully lift one side of the walking belt and touch the surface of the platform.
b. Does the platform feel slippery or wet, no lubrication is necessary.
c. If the platform should be very dry, lubrication needs to be done.
2. Lubrication procedure
a. Carefully lift one side of the walking belt.
b. Put some lubricant under the middle part of the belt onto the platform.
c. Walk slowly for app. 4 to 5 minutes with slow speed in order to disperse the lubricant well.
Hint: Do not use too much lubricant. Lubricant, which may flow out on the sides, has to be wiped
away. Otherwise there is danger of slipping or falling!
When to lubricate?
If you should use your treadmill only with normal walking speed lubrication needs only to be done
once or twice a year. If you should use it for endurance and running training, you need to lubricate
more often. Please observe these general hints:
• After the first 25 hours of use (1-2 months) please lubricate for the first time.
• After each 50 hours of use (2-3 months) you need to do the lubrication again.
Hint: As lubricant you can use e.g. a silicone-spray or another suitable lubricant. Please observe the
instructions for the lubricant.
