Individual Training Profile (USER)
Step 1: Mode selection
Switch on the computer by pressing any key.
“MAN” flashes in the display for manual training. Select the menu “USER” by using the UP/DOWN control
knob.
Step 2: Segment specification
The first segment of the training profile flashes. Enter now the desired load from 1 to 16 km for this segment
by using the UP/DOWN control knob. Confirm your input by pressing the ENTER-key. Now the second seg
-
ment flashes. On the whole, the training profile consists of 20 segments. Process all the segments in the
same way as described in the segment 1.
Step 3: Start the training
Start the training by pressing the START-key.
The profile created will be now saved and can be completed again with the next training session. Select here
“USER”, confirm your option by pressing the ENTER-key and press the START-key.
Pulse controlled training (HRC = Heart Rate Control)
Step 1: Mode selection
Switch on the computer by pressing any key. “MAN” is flashed for manual training in the display. Select the
mode “HRC” by using the UP/DOWN control knob. Confirm your input by pressing the ENTER-key.
Step 2: Specification of age
“AGE” appears in the display. Enter your age by using the UP/DOWN control knob. Confirm your input by
pressing the ENTER-key.
Step 3: Target Pulse Specification
You have to select the option among four different target pulse values:
1. 55%
Based on your age and the formula on page 22, the computer calculates a target pulse rate of 55% of your
maximum heart rate. Confirm your input by pressing the ENTER-key.
2. 75%
Based on your age and the formula on page 22, the computer calculates a target pulse rate of 75% of your
maximum heart rate. Confirm your input by pressing the ENTER-key.
3. 90%
Based on your age and the formula on page 22, the computer calculates a target pulse rate of 90% of your
maximum heart rate. Confirm your input by pressing the ENTER-key. CAUTION: This target pulse rate
should be used only by the sportsperson with good training for enhancing the performance.
4. DAY (Individual target pulse rate)
You can enter here an individual target pulse rate. Press the ENTER key and then enter the desired target
pulse rate using the UP/DOWN control knob. Confirm your input by pressing ENTER key.
