Software firewalls
Before configuring your router please take note that software firewalls such as Norton Personal Firewall(tm),
ZoneLabs’ ZoneAlarm(tm), etc. can make it very difficult (if not impossible) to set up your router if the firewall
is configured incorrectly.
Please make sure that the router’s subnet (IP-range: 192.168.2.x, subnetmask: 255.255.255.0) is a trusted
network and no restrictions are applied to it. If you are unsure how to configure your firewall either contact the
firewall manufacturer or (temporarily) remove the firewall from your system(s).
Note:
Shutting down or disabling your firewall is not advisable because some firewall programs will still
block network traffic even though they are disabled.
