SILVERCUT DISC 900 C
SILVERCUT DISC 1000 C
7.6 Replacement of safety pins on individual disks
Hitting an obstruction may lead to a large load on the
individual disk. To prevent possible damage to disks
and ridge caps, buffers are installed. If the protective
caps are cut, they can be replaced quickly and easily.
–
Repair works, maintenance, periodical
overhauls, cleaning and elimination of
funtctional disturbances must be
performed with the switched off drive
and stand still engine! Remove the
ignition key!
Steps for replacing protective caps:
1.
When hitting an obstruction, stop the machine
and switch off the tractor as soon as possible.
2.
Check for damage.
3.
Rotate the disks so they are pointed at 90
degrees from each other.
4.
This way, you can easily and efficiently determine,
whether any of the disks has an angle greater
than 90 degrees.
5.
Clean the ridge to avoid dirt reaching the bearing
area.
6.
Unscrew the bolt of the top lid and remove it.
7.
Unscrew the bolt of the disk and remove it
together with the quick hitch.
8.
Check for damage to the disk, blade bolts and
protective forgings and quick couplings.
9.
In the event of damage, elements must be
replaced and the disk must be rebalanced
(essential for long life and efficiency of the
machine).
10.
Unscrew the M24 nut and remove the upper and
lower flanges.
11.
Remove the cut protective caps from both parts.
12.
Clean the surface of both parts.
13.
Lubricate with KLUBERPASTE 46MR 401 grease,
which ensures required slip conditions.
14.
Place the upper part into the lower one and
replace the protective caps.
15.
When reassembling, be careful of the proper
positioning of the bracket onto the gear shaft.
16.
After installation, make sure the disks are
completely perpendicular to each other (if they
are not, repositioning of the flange shaft is
required).
17.
Tighten the M24 nut at a torque of 300Nm.
18.
Attach the disk with quick coupling (tighten and
bond bolts with a torque of 72Nm).
19.
Check if the quick coupling is correctly positioned
(when replacing blades, the bearings should not
come into contact).
20.
Attach the upper cover (tighten and bond bolts
with a torque of 72Nm).
21.
Restart the machine and observe for possible
vibrations.
22.
In the event of vibrations, the entire disk must be
rebalanced or replaced.
