Air hoses can come loose from power tools and whip.

Inspect and do not use tools with loose or damaged air hoses or fittings.

Whipping air hoses can cause injury.

Air hoses that are not oil resistant or are not rated for the working pressure can burst.

Make sure that all air hoses are oil resistant and rated for the working pressure.

Air hoses that burst can cause injury.

Tools not operated at proper air pressure can operate erratically.

Do not exceed a maximum air pressure of 90 psig/6.2 bar or as stated on the tool’s nameplate or operating instructions. Use an

air regulator to maintain proper air pressure.

Erratic operation in power tools can cause injury.

Improperly repaired tools perform unpredictably.

Repair tools at an Authorized Sioux Service Center.

Tools that perform unpredictably can cause injury.

Tools left connected to the air supply can start unexpectedly.

Always remove tool from air supply and activate trigger to bleed air line before making any adjustments, changing accessories,

or doing any maintenance or service on tool. Make it a habit to check to see that all adjusting keys and wrenches have been

removed from tool before turning it on.

Tools starting unexpectedly and flying keys and wrenches can cause injury.

Working in poorly lit areas makes it hard to see hazards.

Keep work area well lit.

Poorly lit work areas can cause injury.

Children are attracted to work areas.

Keep children away. All visitors must keep a safe distance away from work area.

Children in work areas can be injured.

Unauthorized or untrained personnel can misuse unattended tools.

Store idle tools in a dry, high or locked-up place, out of the reach of children.

Misused tools can cause injury.

Tools with the actuator left in the “ON” position when an unexpected air pressure loss occurs can start unexpectedly when the air

pressure is restored.

Release the actuator if an unexpected loss of air pressure occurs.

Unexpected tool starts can cause injury.

Tools with the actuator left in the “on” position can cause unexpected starts when the tool is connected to the air supply.

Be sure actuator is off before hooking up air.

Unexpected starts can cause injury.

The use of any accessory with this tool not provided or specified by Sioux Tools can perform unpredictably.

Use only accessories provided or specified by Sioux Tools.

Tools that perform unpredictably can cause injury.

Read and understand safety instructions before installing, operating, repairing, maintaining, changing accessories on, or
working near the nibbler or shears.Only qualified operators and maintenance personnel should install, adjust or use the nibbler
or shears.  Do not modify this nibbler or shear.  Do not discard safety instructions, give them to the operator.  Tools should be
inspected periodically to ensure markings are legible.

Operation of the nibbler or shears can create hazards.

Use of the tool can expose the operator's hands to hazards, including cuts, abrasions and heat.  Wear suitable gloves to protect

the hands.  Avoid contact with the cutter whenever the nibbler or shears are connected to the airline.  Cutting with nibblers

and shears creates sharp edges.  Operators and maintenance personnel should be physically able to handle the bulk, weight

and power of the shears.  Hold the tool correctly, be ready to counteract normal or sudden movements and have both hands

available.   Maintain a balanced body position.  Release the start-and-stop device in case of an interruption of air supply.  Use

only lubricants suggested by Sioux Tools.  Avoid direct contact with the cutter during and after use as it can become hot.  Sharp

tools should always be used.  Unexpected tool movement or breakage of cutters can cause injuries.  Do not use nibblers or

shears on explosive materials.  Explosions or fire can occur if used on explosive or flammable materials.

Hazards from operating the shears can cause injury.

When using the nibblers or shears, the operator can experience discomfort in the hands, arms shoulders, neck or other parts of the body.

Use comfortable, not off-balance posture.  Change posture during extended tasks.

If the operator experiences persistent or recurring discomfort, pain, throbbing, aching, tingling, numbness, burning sensations or

stiffness, the operator should seek medical assistance.

Accessories and tools can create hazards.

Disconnect the nibbler or shears from energy before exchanging accessories or tools.  Use only the sizes and types of

accessories and consumables that are recommended by Sioux Tools. Cutters can become hot during use. Do not touch the

cutter during or after use. Do not use cracked or deformed accessories or inserted tools.

Improper or damaged accessories and tools can cause injury.

Be aware of workplace hazards.

Be aware of slippery surfaces cause by the use of the tool and avoid trip hazards caused by the airline.  Proceed with car in

unfamiliar surroundings.  The shears should not be used in explosive atmospheres and is not insulated against contact with

electrical current.  Ensure your work area is free from electrical cables, gas pipes and other hazards.

Hazards from the workplace cause injury.

Dust and fumes generated by the nibbler or shears can cause ill health.

Consider dust created by the nibbler or shears and existing dust disturbed.  Direct exhaust to minimize dust disturbance.

Control dust at the point of emission  Select, maintain, and replace the consumable tool as recommended to prevent an increase

in dust or fumes.  Use respiratory protection.

Dust and fumes from operating the nibbler or shears can cause injury.

Air under pressure can cause injury.

Shut off air supply, drain hose and disconnect from tool before servicing or changing accessories.  Never direct air at yourself

or anyone else.  Whipping air hoses can cause severe injury.  Use lock pins and whipcheck safety cables when using universal

twist couplings.  Always check for damaged or loose hoses or fittings.  Cold air should be directed away from hands.

Do not exceed maximum air pressure stated on tool.  Do not carry the tool by the hose.

When disposing of a tool, do it in a way that does not harm personnel or the environment.
