OPERATION
Water filter placing
1. Open the lid by pressing the lid release button.
2. Place the filter between the two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.
3. Ensure that the filter is pressed down to the bottom of the grooves and fits correctly. Then
close the lid.
NOTE:
Never leave the filter loose in the kettle. Never remove the filter while the kettle contains
hot water.
1. Open the lid and fill the kettle with water. Be sure that you close again the lid, otherwise the
automatic power cut-off cannot be put into effect, after the water starts boiling.
Caution:
the water level must be between the MIN and MAX level as marked on the housing.
Less than MIN water may damage the heating element, while if water is overfilled, boiling
water may overflow.
2. Place back the kettle on the Base and connect to the power supply. Position the kettle so that
the spout of the kettle is facing away from you.
3. Press down the On/off Switch. The indicator light will illuminate. Water begins to heat up. Do
not open the lid while the water is boiling.
4. Power will be cut off automatically and the On/off Switch will return to the off position, once the
water has been boiled. The indicator light will turn off.
5. The kettle can be used again after letting to cool down for about 15-20 seconds, provided the
kettle has been switched off automatically.
Safety system
This appliance has a safety system, which automatically switches off the heating element if the
appliance is inadvertently switched when empty or if it boils dry. In this case, let the appliance
cool down completely, before filling with water again.
Important note:
The extended use of the appliance without water may cause damage to the
safety system. This could cause damage to the heating element, which will not be covered by
the guarantee.
