follow the below steps to use the self-clean function.
A:
Unplug the iron.
B:
Fill the water tank with tap water to the Max line.
C:
Plug in the iron, set the temperature control dial to the Max position. Heat
until the indicator light turns off.
D:
Unplug the iron.
E:
Hold the iron over a sink in a horizontal position
Warning: Be careful not to touch the irons`s hot surfaces.
F:
Adjust the steam control knob to position “ ” and hold. Water will begin
dripping from the water tank. Slowly rock the iron side to side and front to
back for 30 seconds. When rocking the iron tilt the front of the iron slightly
below the rear of the iron to make certain the water circulates completely.
Release the steam control knob to the steam off position “ ” after one
minute.
G:
Open the water inlet cover, turn the iron upside down, and allow the
remaining water to
fl
ow out from water inlet.
H:
Dry the sole plate with a towel.
I:
Plug the iron and set the temperature control knob to Max position. Let the
iron heat up until indicator light turns off to dry the iron completely.
J:
Set the temperature control knob to the off position. Unplug the iron and
allow it to cool.
CARE AND CLEANING
1. T urn the temperature control dial to “OFF”, then disconnect the iron from the
wall outlet and let it cool down completely.
2. Deposits and other residues on the sole plate can be removed with a cloth
soaked in a vinegar/water solution.
3. The casing may the wiped with a damp cloth and then polished with a dry
one.
4. Never use any abrasives to clean the sole plate.
5. Keep the sole plate smooth; avoid contact with metal objects.
