5. TV learning feature
If you are unable to locate a setup a code for your TV, you can program each TV key individually on your remote.
To program your TV by learning, follow these steps:
1. Press TV POWER, then RECORD buttons together until the indicator light illuminates.
2. Position the Simplicity remote and your TV remote face-up on a flat surface about 1-2" apart so that their IR transmitters are
facing one another.
3. Press TV POWER on your Simplicity remote. The indicator light will blink and remain illuminated.
4. Press POWER on your TV remote. The indicator light on the Simplicity remote will blink once and remain illuminated.
5. Press POWER on the TV remote again. The indicator light on the Simplicity remote will blink twice and remain illuminated.
6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 for any additional TV keys you would like to learn.
7. Press and hold SEL/OK for at least 3 seconds to lock in the learned TV data. The indicator light will blink and go out.
To clear specific learned keys, follow these steps:
1. Press simultaneously TV POWER and EXIT together until the indicator light illuminates.
2. Press the learned TV key(s) you want to clear.
3. Press and hold SEL/OK for at least 3 seconds. The indicator light will blink and go out. The selected keys are now cleared
and will transmit the data respective to the most recent TV code programmed before the keys were learned.
Code entry method
1. Turn on the TV you want your remote to operate.
2. Press SEL/OK, then MUTE buttons together until the indicator light illuminates.
3. Locale the 1st 4-digit code for your brand in the TV Setup Code list and enter it on the keypad of the remote control. Entry of
the correct TV code will cause your TV to turn off. If multiple codes are listed for your brand, you may have to enter several
codes until your TV turns off.
4. As soon as you enter a 4-digit code that turns your TV off, press MUTE.
a. If your TV turns back on, press SEL/OK to lock in the code indicator light will blink and go out.
b. If your TV does not turn back on, enter a different 4-digit code until your TV turns back on.
Then press SEL/OK to lock in the code. The indicator light will blink and go out.
Point and Press method
1. Turn on the TV you want your remote to operate.
2. Press SEL/OK, then MUTE buttons together until the indicator light illuminates.
3. Press and hold the CH button until your TV turns off. While pressing the CH button, the indicator light will blink. As
soon as your TV turns off, release CH .
4. Press MUTE. If your TV:
a. Turns back on, press SEL/OK to lock in the code. The indicator light will blink and go out.
b. Does not turn back on, press CH one step at a time until your TV turns back on. Each time you press the CH button,
the indicator light will blink. Once you have found a code that turns your TV on/off, press SEL/OK to lock in the code. The
indicator light will blink and go out. Write your TV setup code: _________________________.
