As part of our ongoing product development, specifications of Silverline products may alter without notice.
Before use
• Slide off the Battery Cover (4), insert 9V battery into the battery opening, and replace the battery cover
• Check that the detector functions correctly before operation. Remove the Probe Protector (6) and hold
the detection probes against a known damp surface. Depress and hold the Power Button (5), if operating
correctly the detector will illuminate from the LED Indicator (2) and will give off an audible signal from
the Speaker (3)
• The level of dampness will determine the amount of LEDs that will illuminate and the pitch of the
audible signal
• A low pitch sound with only 1 or 2 LEDs illuminated means that there is a minimal amount of damp
detected
• A high pitch sound with all 4 LEDs illuminated means that there is a large amount of damp detected
Masonry
• Drill two small holes (3mm dia) set apart by approximately 24mm, which will match the two Detection
Probes (1). The holes need to be about 5mm deep to create an accurate reading
• Remove the Probe Protector (6) and insert the probes into the drilled holes. If a signal sounds then this
means damp has been detected
Timber
• Ensure the timber is clear of dirt and grime
• Remove the Probe Protector (6) and place the Detection Probes (1) against the surface. This will
determine if there is any surface moisture
• Drill two small holes (3mm dia) set apart by approximately 24mm, which will match the two detection
probes. The holes should be 5mm deep to create an accurate reading
• Insert the detection probes into the drilled holes, if a signal sounds then this means there is internal
moisture
Plaster
• Ensure that the surface is clear of dirt and grime
• Remove the Probe Protector (6) and place the Detection Probes (1) against the surface. This will
determine if there is any surface moisture
• Drill two small holes (3mm dia) set apart by approximately 24mm, which will match the two detection
probes. The holes should be 5mm deep to create an accurate reading
• Insert the detection probes into the drilled holes. If a signal sounds then this means there is internal
moisture
WARNING
• Always replace the Probe Protector (6) when detection is complete, otherwise the probes may get
damaged and this could invalidate the warranty
• Do not apply too much pressure on the probes; this may result in damage to the probes which may
invalidate the warranty
• Always clean the probes once detection is complete otherwise it may affect the result the next time it is
used

Avant l’utilisation

• Le niveau d’illumination de la lampe LED et le niveau sonore du haut-parleur dépendent de la quantité
d’humidité
• Un signal sonore faible et une ou deux lampes allumées indiquent la détection d’un taux d’humidité
minimum
• Un signal sonore fort et quatre lampes allumées indiquent la détection d’un taux d’humidité élevé
Maçonnerie
• Percez deux petits trous (3mmØ) séparés d’environ 24mm, qui accueilleront les deux sondes de

Vor dem Gebrauch

• Je nach Grad der Feuchtigkeit leuchtet eine unterschiedliche Zahl von LEDs und ändert sich die Tonhöhe
• Ein tiefer Ton ist zu hören und nur 1 oder 2 LEDs leuchten, wenn eine minimale Feuchtigkeitsmenge
gemessen wird
• Ein hoher Ton ist zu hören und alle 4 LEDs leuchten, wenn eine hohe Feuchtigkeit gemessen wird
Mauerwerk
• In einem Abstand von ca. 24 mm zwei kleine Löcher (3 mm Ø) bohren, die zu den zwei Messfühlern (1)
passen. Die Löcher müssen etwa 5 mm tief sein, um ein genaues Messergebnis zu erzielen
• Den Messfühlerschutz (2) entfernen und die Messfühler in die gebohrten Löcher einführen. Wenn ein
Signal abgegeben wird, bedeutet dies, dass Feuchtigkeit gemessen wurde

AVERTISSEMENT
• Replacez toujours le protecteur de sonde (2) après utilisation. Sans cela, la sonde peut être endommagée
et la garantie rendue caduque
• N’appuyez pas trop sur les sondes, cela peut conduire à abîmer la sonde et rendre la garantie caduque
• Nettoyez toujours les sondes après avoir terminé l’opération de détection ; un manquement à cette étape

VORSICHT!
• Nach Abschluss der Feuchtigkeitsprüfung immer den Messfühlerschutz (2) wieder anbringen. Sonst

• Die Messfühler nach Abschluss der Feuchtigkeitsprüfung stets reinigen, sonst könnte beim nächsten
Messeinsatz der Messergebnis beeinträchtigt werden
