Before Operation - VCR part
Using your unit for the very first time
Notes
For the following steps we assume that you have just
connected your video recorder for the very first time.
To make tuning TV stations an easy task your VCR
incorporates the
Automatic Channel Memory
System (ACMS)
. This system will automatically tune
and store TV channels to your VCR. While this is
happening the clock (date & time) in the video recorder
will be set automatically.
The
ACMS
system relies on signals transmitted by the TV
Station, for auto clock setting and station identification. If
the TV broadcast signal is weak or fluctuates your VCR
may not detect the necessary information and will be
unable to identify station names and sort them correctly.
To overcome this problem please turn to the
MANUAL
TUNING
section of this book on page 15.

Make sure that you have correctly installed your
VCR and tuned a video channel on your TV as
described earlier in this book.
Press
POWER
to turn on your VCR.
If you have a satellite receiver make sure that it is
connected to your VCR, switched on and Sky News
has been selected.

Initial Menu Screen

If the initial Menu Screen doesn’t appear on
screen, make sure that you have tuned your
TV to a video channel. Or if this is correct it
may mean that your VCR is already tuned.

to start the automatic tuning process.

The TV station table will appear when tuning is
complete.
Press

to store your TV stations and remove the
TV station table.
